Well, as a dealer, I will tell you that glassware in general is low right now. Most likely, it will not bring anything close to your estimate. The internet has changed the face of selling prices, as has the economy. And glass is not "Hot " like it used to be. Of course there are a lot of variables to consider. Some pieces that are quite rare, will still command high prices. I'd suggest finding a dealer who specializes in glass. Also, search the internet for glass clubs, etc. and you might find some interest there. There are museums, groups, etc. devoted to just (for example) Heisey glass only. Ebay prices generally will net you a lower selling price, and shipping glass is tedious and it weighs in heavy (thus cutting in to your sale price) Good luck! PS I would not recommend setting up a storefront just for that. It's a specialized item and your average "joe " off the street will not be interested. Plus you run the risk of theft, breakage, chipping, etc. Condition is EVERYTHING when it comes to glass. |
