How do i make a book look old/used/worn/tattered/antique?

Question: How do i make a book look old/used/worn/tattered/antique?

(Posted by: Jasmine on 2009-12-24 13:53:03)

As a present, I need to make a book that I had newly purchased look like an old used version of the same book. Is there anything I can do to it to make the front/ back covers look worn, wear down the spine and just make it look like an older version of the book while still allowing it to be legible?

Hit it with a sanding block. Work over the corners/ edges more than the front/ back. Go for a random look. Go to a used book store, or a thrift shop, and look at the wear on old books.
