Question: Does anyone know anything about "lido" or "w.s. george" antique china?

I have a beautiful set of antique china that belonged to my Grandmother but have no information about it at all. The china has an intricate gold leaf pattern around the edges and features a pastel floral pattern. The stamp on the back reads "Lido - W.S. George - Canarytone - Made in U.S.A. - 138A ". Here are a few photos that might help a collector or someone who is familiar with antique china identify its origin, age, and value (which, of course to me is priceless as it was a gift from my Grandma) http:/ / i241.photobucket.com/ albums/ ff190/ Maryann1214/ Plates/ Lido138A.jpg http:/ / i241.photobucket.com/ albums/ ff190/ Maryann1214/ Plates/ Lidogoldedge.jpg http:/ / i241.photobucket.com/ albums/ ff190/ Maryann1214/ Plates/ Lidofloralcloseup.jpg http:/ / i241.photobucket.com/ albums/ ff190/ Maryann1214/ Plates/ Lidostamp.jpg If you know anything about this china or have a suggestion where I might find out more, please let me know. I would really appreciate it! Thanks! |
